This region has been located at north of Can-Solgan, in the west of Ahar Shekarab region, in the south of Kesil region and in the east of Laniz and Shlink region.

You as foriegners might not be familiar with so called “Shahrestanak”, however, you are undoubtedly familiar with the name of “Naser-Al-din Shah”- fourth kind of Qajar Dynasty. The name of Shahrestanak Region is called besides the name of Naser-Al-Din Shah, the Martyred King of Iran. Its reason is the existence of a castle called Shahrestanak Castle established by the order of Naser-Al-Din Shah in this region.

Shahrestanak in Iran - Iran Tours & TravelNaser-Al-Din Shah was traveling to this region and his castle from Toochal Area located at North of Tehran for spending in the country side by Naseri Road (the connecting path of Rey Town to Mazandaran where was being used previously before the construction of Chalus Road).

In 1878, Naser-Al-Din Shah ordered to an architect, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, to construct this beautiful castle as a country side building, in a land with area of 8000 square meters.

The reason for choosing this region for country side by Qajar Kind is because of its pristine nature, pleasant weather and its astonishing beauty in most seasons of the year.

Shahrestanak region dates back to twelfth century. Shahrestanak Region has just many gardens with various fruits. Most vegetation of this region include apricot and berry gardens. Because this region has been located between two streams, so it is full of water all year round.

The people in this area are speaking with beautiful Tati language that is spoken with people residing in Gasran area as well. In most seasons of the year, this region maintains its beauty even during clod seasons.

Walking among mounts with amazing scenery will provide you with an incredible experience.

After mount trekking and walking through, seeing Ors tree is one of the landscapes that could take the fatigue of trip out of you.

Ors Tree is a tree dating back over than 2800 years with its name is famous in this area called as “Legendary Tree”. It is 17m in height and 14m in width and is located in the eastern south of the village.

Another attraction of this area for people interested in mount climbing and walking sports is seeing Dozdband Castle or Gale Dokhtar.

According to some historians, this castle dates back to Sassani era and was a place for monitoring and scout. This castle surrounded with remnants of potteries dating back to Ilkhanid and Tymourid dynasty.

Another path recommended to the tourists is heading to Toochal summit by Tele-Cabin and going through a path with negative slope from Toochal Summit towards Shahrestanak area and Shahrestanak Castle. It takes long about 4 hours to attain to Shahrestank Castle.

You are going to experience the wonderful nature of this area, so we recommend you to accompany us with a two-days mount climbing schedule such that in the first day we begin climbing to Toochal Castle by Tele-Cabin and or on foot and then we reside in Toochal Complex Hotel at night, so we will provide you with a memorable night at the heart of the mountains and summit of Tehran and in second day, after having delicious breakfast, we will head towards Shahrestanak area and have lunch in Naser-Al-Din Shah Castle.
