Yazd is a city located on a plain with the same name, on the central plateau of Iran. This city, located between the Shirkouh and Kharaneg Mountains, is bordered by the cities of Meybod and Ardakan to the north, the cities of Taft and Abarkuh to the south, the city of Isfahan to the west, and the cities of Ardakan and Bafq to the east. The city of Yazd has been named differently at different times; names like Isatitis, Izad Tis, Shahr-e-Izad, Kase, Yazdan Shahr, Dar Al-Abadeh, Yazdan Gerd and so forth.The name Kase can be found in books like “Fārsnāma” (the book of Fars) by Ibn al-Balkhi and “The History of Yazd” by Ahmad ibn Hussein ibn Ali Kateb.Kase means small. The reason for this naming is the small size of the city of Kase, comparing to Isatis that was located near Kase and was bigger than it was. However, there are other opinions that are overlooked for brevity.

Pasargadae is a town located in 130km of Shiraz City in Fars Province. Pasargadae area is located at the north of Fars Province among Zagros Mounts. This complex includes antiquities going back to the middle age of the Paleolithic Era and Achaemenid Dynasty; however, most works in this area are memorial of Achaemenid Dynasty.There are different views for the meaning of Pasargadae. Some people believe that Pasargadae obtained its name from word “Pasargad” and some others believe that it has gotten its name from the name of Pasargadae meaning Pasargadae Tribe. This region has been located at north of Can-Solgan, in the west of Ahar Shekarab region, in the south of Kesil region and in the east of Laniz and Shlink region.You as foriegners might not be familiar with so called “Shahrestanak”, however, you are undoubtedly familiar with the name of “Naser-Al-din Shah”- fourth kind of Qajar Dynasty. The name of Shahrestanak Region is called besides the name of Naser-Al-Din Shah, the Martyred King of Iran. Its reason is the existence of a castle called Shahrestanak Castle established by the order of Naser-Al-Din Shah in this region.Naser-Al-Din Shah was traveling to this region and his castle from Toochal Area located at North of Tehran for spending in the country side by Naseri Road (the connecting path of Rey Town to Mazandaran where was being used previously before the construction of Chalus Road).In 1878, Naser-Al-Din Shah ordered to an architect, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, to construct this beautiful castle as a country side building, in a land with area of 8000 square meters.
