Shemiranat is a region located at the north and eastern north of Tehran and is accounted as one of regions in Tehran with the most pleasant weathers; for this purpose, it was a place of country side for kings of Iran since longer ago.
Considering its not extended area, due to its geographical situation, we can see huge size of tourism attractions in this area.
Thus, this paper will introduce the summits of this area followed by introducing other tourism attractions of this area in further papers.
Because of locating in the southern range of Alborz Mount, Shemiranat area is one of the regions with most summits in Iran and is considered as one of the targets of tourists who coming from overseas, far or close to Persian land for mountain climbing.
We strictly recommend to the tourists interested in mount climbing to travel to Iran for experience of memorable climbing besides travelling to K-Two Mounts in Pakistan, Ararat Mounts in Turkey, Everest in Nepal and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Shemiran region is located in the southern range of Alborz and the mountains located in this area called as “Tochal Wall”.
This area has crescent-shapes summits with their height is increasing from east to Tochal Summit and then reducing towards west; however, western summits are taller than eastern summits.

This region has been located at north of Can-Solgan, in the west of Ahar Shekarab region, in the south of Kesil region and in the east of Laniz and Shlink region.You as foriegners might not be familiar with so called “Shahrestanak”, however, you are undoubtedly familiar with the name of “Naser-Al-din Shah”- fourth kind of Qajar Dynasty. The name of Shahrestanak Region is called besides the name of Naser-Al-Din Shah, the Martyred King of Iran. Its reason is the existence of a castle called Shahrestanak Castle established by the order of Naser-Al-Din Shah in this region.Naser-Al-Din Shah was traveling to this region and his castle from Toochal Area located at North of Tehran for spending in the country side by Naseri Road (the connecting path of Rey Town to Mazandaran where was being used previously before the construction of Chalous Road).In 1878, Naser-Al-Din Shah ordered to an architect, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, to construct this beautiful castle as a country side building, in a land with area of 8000 square meters.

Kite riding is the name of an aerobatic sport in which the pilot is hanging from a device like the birds’ wing and controlling the kite by directing and orienting his body. In this sport, the pilot flies by gliding on the air.Over than one thousand years ago, man could fly on the air. From the very beginning when watching the flying birds, man had a dream of flying in his mind and any person has just attempted to attain this goal as much as he could.Perhaps the first flight experience by a device similar to kite dates back to 1020 AC when Ilmer Malmesberi, English monk decided to jump from tower with the height of 180m to realize the dream of flying. For realizing his dream albeit he faced with broken legs.Since that time in 11th century in Constantinople and in late 15th century in Italy there were some other actions for realizing such flying dream but frustrated.

A trip to Chalus road, a wonderful route

A day when Reza Shah due to complications he had during his last trip to Mazandaran in 1933. ordered to make this road, he might even not know that this start is the beginning of a story with figured as a part of memories of individual Persian people.Chalus road is not only a road for Iranian people, but it is a part of the history of this old land. We can see the bitter and sweet memories in all points of this beautiful route keeping the nostalgia taste fresh for any Iranian people. Confirming this subject, we can see a restaurant in where people go through it to reveal past memories of a sequence of Hamsafar Movie produced in this restaurant.The beauty of this amazing road is so great that passing through this route and seeing its beauties and historical effects is a long trip as well.For passing through this beautiful route, after passing through Karaj City, you enter Route 59 or Chalus Road. You face the first tourism attraction with very beautiful landscape by seeing Amirkabir Dam.
