The name of Shahrestanak Region is called besides the name of Naser-Al-Din Shah, the Martyred King of Iran. Its reason is the existence of a castle called Shahrestanak Castle established by the order of Naser-Al-Din Shah in this region.Naser-Al-Din Shah was traveling to this region and his castle from Toochal Area located at North of Tehran for spending in the country side by Naseri Road (the connecting path of Rey Town to Mazandaran where was being used previously before the construction of Chalous Road).In 1878, Naser-Al-Din Shah ordered to an architect, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, to construct this beautiful castle as a country side building, in a land with area of 8000 square meters.
