Mazandaran province
Mazandaran province is located in north of Iran and the capital is Sari. The area is 23,756 square kilometers. Mazandaran province is bordered by the Caspian Sea to the north, by Golestan and Semnan to the east, by the Alborz Mountain range, Tehran and Alborz provinces to the south, and by Gilan and Qazvin provinces to the west.
Kelardasht
Kelardasht is a small city in Mazandaran province in Iran, with an area of 1510 square kilometers.
Kelardasht is located over the highlands and mountains of Mazandaran province. It has an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level.
Geographical area:
To the South: Mount Takht-e Soleyman to Kandovan Pass area
To the North: Caspian Sea (Mazandaran)
To the East: Chalus, Noshahr and Kojour
To the West: Qazvin province and Alamut area
There are two main roads to reach Kelardasht area.
The first route starts from Chalus Road and reaches Kelardasht 20 km after the city of Marzanabad.
The second road starts from Abbasabad and reaches Kelardasht after 25 km.
There are more than 40 peaks in Kelardasht area with altitudes of more than 4000 meters. The famous one is Alam-Kuh (Mount Alam) with an altitude of 4850 meters above sea level.
