Increased land travel to Armenia following cross-border vaccination

President of the Union of Passenger Transport Companies announced an increase in the demand for bus and bus tickets to the city of Julfa on the Armenian border, following the announcement of border vaccination in this country.

Ahmad Reza Ameri, President of the Union of Passenger Transport Companies, noting that land travel to foreign destinations had reached a minimum and almost zero, announced an increase in demand for bus tickets to the Armenian border. “After Armenia announced that it was injecting tourists with the corona vaccine, it requested a bus and bus ticket to the Armenian border town of Norduz in Julfa,” he acknowledged.

Amiri stressed that at present Iranian buses are not allowed to enter the territory of another country, including Armenia, noting:

People who travel to Armenia to be vaccinated travel by domestic fleet buses to the city of Norduz and enter the country by border with the Armenian fleet.

President of the Union of Passenger Transport Companies , Considered border vaccination as the main factor in increasing tour of Armenia and the travel of Iranian citizens to this country and said:

In the past, land travel to Armenia was very common among Iranians, but land travel was stopped for a while, and in a situation where travelers can not travel to foreign countries, we see a wave of Iranian tourists to Armenia. The intention of most of these people is to inject vaccines at a low cost.

The news indicates that currently the fare for buses to the border town of Norduz from Tehran is between eight and 10 million tomans. Each bus can carry between 25 and 17 passengers; However, due to the observance of health protocols, the current capacity of buses does not exceed 17 people. Ambulance buses are stationed at the beginning of the territory of Armenia and carry out vaccinations, and tourists have the right to choose any type of vaccine. It is mandatory for passengers to have a negative PCR test.

It should be noted that before this, the price of a Tehran-Yerevan ticket was 700,000 Tomans; But in Corona, it is not possible for buses to enter another country
