Qaboos Tower is located in Gonbad Kavous city of Golestan province, this historical tower which is more than 1000 years old and has been named as the tallest all-brick tower in the world.

This tower was built in 375 AH by the order of Qaboos Ibn Vashmgir, nicknamed Shams al-Ma’ali, by the princes of the Ziari dynasty. The height of Qaboos tower is 70 meters above the ground, including the hill. The building consists of four parts; The foundation of the building, the crypt, the body and the dome become conical. The body of the tower is 27 meters high. The body of the building has 10 cracks and these cracks start from the base and continue to the bottom of the dome and between them is filled with bricks. The arrangement of the cracks is fully engineered, the number and diameter of baked red bricks and the steep slope of the dome, as well as the materials used such as mortar and many other things have made this huge and beautiful tower still strong after 1025 years. . This tower was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites on July 1, 2012.
