On the second day of the tour itinerary, after breakfast, you will begin your journey and go toward Alamut castle and then Qazvin.Alamut Castle is a historically important mountain castle. Alamut has been very hard to be occupied by the enemy as it is built on a mountainous area.We will continue to Qazvin and arrive in the afternoon. Early in the morning, on the third day of this Iran tour, according to the itinerary planned by Iranviva, you will leave Qazvin toward the city of Rasht in Gilan province.We will stop on the way to see the Rural Heritage Museum of Gilan and then will arrive in Rasht and visit Saat Square (Shahrdari Square), and a local bazaar. We will go to Masuleh village for the night.Masuleh village is widely reputed and highly regarded by the tourists for its architecture of the houses and its stepped structure. In the morning we have breakfast and explore the village. We then go toward Sarein.To reach Ardabil and Sarein you should drive through one of the most beautiful roads and areas in the country, named Heyran Pass.Sarein is famous in the world for its hot mineral springs (spa). And you can enjoy an hour or two in one of the hot springs. Tabriz is the next city that we go and stay there for two nights. The dialect of the people who live in Tabriz is very similar to the dialect of people in Turkey and Azerbaijan as they are neighbors.One of the main attractions in each Iranian city is the bazaar, and the traditional Bazaar of Tabriz is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site because it is the largest covered bazaar in the world and one of the oldest in the middle east.We will visit Tabriz Bazaar in the afternoon. Today’s excursion includes visiting El-Goli, Amir Nezam mosque and the blue mosque.We will have free time in the afternoon to rest in the hotel, visit the bazaar or visit the sites of your interest. There is a village near Tabriz named Kandovan. Kandovan village is known and highly regarded by the tourists in the world for the rocky architecture of houses in the mountains. The houses in this village are built by hand carving in the mountain. Interestingly, people of this region are still living in these rocky houses.According to the itinerary planned by Iranviva, today you will visit the beautiful village of Kandovan, and then will continue to Maragheh to stay for the night. Your next destinations after Maragheh are the cities of Takab and Takht-e Soleymān. Takht-e Soleymān is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, located in the province of West Azerbaijan, Iran.You will spend the 8th day of the tour visiting these two cities and stay overnight in the city of Takab. Today we head toward Hamedan, but we will visit the Dome of Soltaniyeh a UNESCO Heritage Site as the biggest brick dome in the world, in Zanjan province, and Katale Khor Cave.We arrive in Hamedan in the evening. Hamadan was one of the capitals of Iran in the periods of Achaemenid, Parthian, Sassanid, Buyid dynasty and Seljuks.To know more about the ancientness and history of the beautiful city of Hamadan, you will be taken on a city tour in the morning. Among the places that you can visit in Hamedan are the Mausoleum of Avicenna, the great Persian physician and scientist, as well as the mausoleum of Baba Tahir, the Persian poet and mystic, and Ganjnameh.In the evening we will leave Hamedan toward the province of Kermanshah and will stay there for the night. Kermanshah is a historical city in Iran with ancient civilization. Among the beautiful and valuable places to visit in Kermanshah are Taq-e Bostan, Mount Behistun and the Bazaar. Early in the morning on the twelfth day of this Iran tour, we will leave Kermanshah and go to Dezful, and on the way, you will pass many small cities and visit Falak-ol-Aflak Castle. Falak-ol-Aflak is a well preserved castle on top of a hill in Khoramabad, the regional capital of Lorestan province.Arrive in Dezful and visit the Jameh Mosque and Dez river. Today we will have a full day excursion to explore two UNESCO World Heritage sites, Chogha Zanbil ziggurat and the Shushtar Historical Hydraulic system.Chogha Zanbil is the best-preserved ziggurat (pyramidal stepped temple tower) in the world. This ziggurat was built in 1250 BC with mud and brick by the Elamites. After having breakfast, we will go to Shiraz, the city of poetry and literature. The route from Shushtar to Shiraz is a long route that takes over 8 hours.However, visiting cities like Bishapur and Kazerun will reduce the monotonousness of the route and you will experience an enjoyable traveling.Note: It is also possible to stay for a night in the middle of the way and add one day to your tour. If we do so, we will have more time in Shiraz and also will not get tired of the long way. Today we start the excursion with the Nasir-ol-Molk mosque that you undoubtedly have seen many pictures of it. The pink theme of the tile paintings and the colorful morning sunlight inside the mosque is impressively beautiful. Eram Garden, Narenjestan Qavam, Arg-e Karimkhan (Karimkhan citadel) and Vakil mosque are the other attractions that we will see in Shiraz. One of the most important UNESCO heritages in the world is Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of Achaemenids, the largest empire in the history. We leave the city and go to Persepolis, and then will continue to Pasargadae to see the tomb of Cyrus the great, the founder of the achaemenid empire.We head toward Isfahan in the afternoon and arrive there in the evening. You will spend the 17th day of this Iran tour in Isfahan to see Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Ali Qapu palace and the traditional bazaar that surrounds the square. Vank cathedral and the Khaju Bridge will be the last places that we see in Isfahan. Today we will leave Isfahan in the morning and will go to Kashan, but will stop on the way to visit Abyaneh. We spend about two hours in the red village of Abyaneh and then we will go to Kashan. The iron oxide in the soil of Abyaneh has created a reddish theme in the village.We will go to Kashan and have free time in the afternoon to relax, or go for a walk in the old quarters of the city. The Fin Garden, Borujerdi traditional house, Sultan Amir Ahmad bath and the Aqa Bozorg mosque are the attractions that we see in Kashan.After visiting Kashan, we will continue to Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
